Villa Illumino is a Bed & Breakfast located in the Stockholm Archipielago. They needed a website so that people from all over could find them on the Internet.
They needed a logo that would be appealing and warm. Since it's mostly open in the summers, I thought the sun and the green color of the text would work to showcase a welcoming and nature-heavy environment.
The home page grasps users' attention with the soft colors and the interesting description that tells us what we are to expect if we stay here.
Photos are important, so to display the different rooms, shots of each one was used, as well as pictures of the inside of the house. In all pages there is access to a gallery that users can view to get a better idea of what Blidö (the island on which Villa Illumino resides) looks like, as well as the house itself.
There are many activities to do during the late spring, summer and early fall. It was important to inform the users of all the different things there were to do. Making a reservation is easy, as there is always access to that page.
The about page talks about the owners of Villa Illumino as well as a little about the island in itself. Each page also contains a "Did you know?" section, which has a little factoid about Blidö. This little detail makes it more fun for the user to discover the site.
